Are you derailing your business with details

Are You Derailing Your Business with Details?Details can kill your web business. And I’m not talking about details killing your business from the standpoint of being careless about them. While it’s true that being careless can hurt your business, everybody knows that (even if they don’t always put it into practice). The way I’m talking about that details can kill your business is if you focus too much on them.Say what? How on earth can focusing too much on details hurt your business?Ever tried to walk on a railroad track? When I was a kid, my aunt and uncle had a house right next to a railroad track. My uncle once challenged me to walk on the track without falling off.Hey, it’s not like walking a tightrope. That track was as wide as my feet. Should be no problem. So I started walking it, carefully watching my feet with each step to make sure I stayed on the track. But I couldn’t get more than a couple of steps before I’d lose my balance and fall off.My uncle taught me that the only way to walk that track successfully was to look at a point a ways down the track – not down at my feet. By setting a goal and focusing on https://manuelcsdo455.iamarrows.com/hey-i-invented-that-first-1 it, I could walk on that track as easily as if I was walking right on the ground. It was only when I focused on my feet that I tripped up.It works that way with business, too. Our natural reaction is to put all our attention into “watching our feet” as we deal with this short-term detail and that. But when we do that, we “fall off the track” of where we wanted to go.Now, I’m not saying that we should ignore the details of our business as we gaze wistfully toward our vision of the knock-out business we dream of building. You never get anywhere without taking step after step after step to reach your goal. But you never get anywhere, either, if all you look at is the present step. The point in the distance that you need to focus on is the need your audience has and the solution you have that will fill it. It requires you to understand your audience – who they are and what they need and what concerns stand in the way of them choosing your solution. It’s way too easy for us to focus on details, namely, on the latest traffic building tips or tools, the latest bells and whistles we can add to our site. Details are usually driven by facts, and facts are something we feel we can learn and control. Understanding the people who make up our pool of potential customers is a lot more scary. It requires us to step outside ourselves into the hearts and minds of other people.Given the choice between dealing with predictable facts and details or dealing with unpredictable human nature, most of us will jump at dealing with facts any time. But that just gets us stuck staring at our own feet as our feet inexplicably slip off the track. The only way to stay on track is by looking toward your ultimate goal: you helping people solve some problem in return for them repaying you fairly for the time and effort you put into it.That’s really the most simple definition of what business is. The details are not your business. The facts and the tips and the tools are not your business either. They’re merely the steps you take to get to that point in the distance. And the more you take that to heart, the more easily you’ll stay on the track toward your goal.

Women entrepreneurs prove its not just a mans world

Women Entrepreneurs Prove Its Not Just A Mans WorldI had the honor of speaking this week at a women’s business association luncheon on the topic of entrepreneurship. When I mentioned to my wife the day before that I was speaking to group of women entrepreneurs she asked, “Why on earth would they ask you to speak?”In her defense, my dear wife has no idea what I do for a living. She’s never read a single one of the several hundred columns I’ve written. She’s never attended a function where I’m speaking or sat in the audience at any of my seminars. She just knows that we live a very comfortable lifestyle and believes me when I tell her our money doesn’t come from the drug trade.Beyond that, she’s incredibly happy in her ignorance of her husband’s skills. When I feigned hurt feelings she waved a hand at me and said, “My point is, what in the world can a man tell a roomful of women that they don’t already know?”Henny Youngman, Ralph Cramden, Rodney Dangerfield, Tim Knox. At least I’m in good company. But she had a point. What the heck did I know about women in business? So as not to look like a total idiot in front of this group of what I now call “womentrepreneurs” I decided to do a little research on the topic. Here’s what I discovered: while some still believe it’s a man’s world, when it comes to business, women are catching up fast.According to the Center For Women’s Business Research there are over 10 million women-owned businesses in the US, employing 18 million people and generating $2.32 trillion in sales.Women start businesses at two times the rate of men and women-owned businesses account for 28 percent of all businesses in the United States and represent about 775,000 new startups per year and account for 55% of new startups. One thing that I found particularly interesting was that the top growth industries for women-owned businesses in recent years were construction, wholesale trade, transportation/communications, agribusiness and manufacturing, industries traditionally dominated by men.In the past 25 years the number of women-owned firms in the US has doubled, employment has increased four-fold and their revenues have risen five-fold.Here is the question I sought particularly to answer: Do women approach business differently than men? I’ve been compared to a bull in a china shop when it comes to business. Would a female counterpart approach things differently? More gracefully, perhaps? As my lovely bride would say, “Duh.”In her book, How to Run Your Business Like a Girl, Elizabeth Cogswell Baskin explored common female traits and how women entrepreneurs – and perhaps men, as well – can use https://telegra.ph/Finding-your-nook-and-cranny-06-11 those traits to their entrepreneurial advantage.Baskin reported that women tend to use three unique strengths more than their male counterparts: trusting their intuition, focusing on relationships, and putting more emphasis on keeping their life in balance.Trust Your GutWomen are much more likely to make a decision based on a gut feeling. Women may gather the facts and figures necessary to back up that feeling, but they generally know what they want to do based on intuition.Build Strong RelationshipsMen play the game of business like a sport. They are out to win and dominate. “Women,” Baskin says, “are much more interested in establishing a connection.”Find A Balance Between Work and Life.A number of women interviewed for this book cited on quality of life as their reason for starting a business, alluding to their desire to find a way to juggle family and work. “If having more time for your family is important to you, find a way to work that into your day. It’s not so much how much work you do, but being able to decide when you’ll do it.” Baskin offers one more piece of advice to women in the early stages of their business:You Don’t Have To Know Everything. My wife would argue this point because she really does know everything, but Baskin says when it comes to business, thinking you know everything is not the key to success.“It’s amazing how many women say they didn’t know anything when they started their business,” Baskin said. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help – you don’t have to be perfect at everything.”Solid business advice: for guys and gals. Here’s to your success!

Rich jerk are you absolutely sure

Rich Jerk – Are You Absolutely SURE?Do you want to be a millionaire, no a billionaire??!! This hour? This very minute? I’m sure you know the answer to the question. However I’m sorry to break it to you, but its not going to happen in this world we live in. At least not for 99.999% of us. Good. Now we have established that, in order to be a millionaire or indeed a billionaire you need to work, be smart and work some more. If somebody tells you otherwise you should put a smelly sock in his mouth! It is important that you must also approach any possible internet venture or online money making idea with this level of comprehension. The strange thing Ive discovered that that with most “follow my lead and make money” program, most of it is actually the TRUTH! Yes! The actual Truth! If you follow it step-by-step, word-for-word I can solemnly say that I can guarantee your success. GUARANTEED!!!The bump in the road is, most of it is put in a https://blogfreely.net/freadhczwr/how-to-be-a-creative-entrepreneur very simplistic way to make it seem easy, but make no mistake, If you truly want to make money online as a e-business, not a freelancer, you will have to invest a small amount of money (very small compared to brick and mortar businesses anyway) and some time to actually understand the whole process and make use of it work in your favor.Rick Jerk’s book is one such book. He provides you with all the tools to actually succeed online, however he gives it to you with a sledge hammer on the head. I’d say at most only 10% of all the people who buy the e-book would actually implement his methods to earn some internet money. This is definitely not Rich Jerk’s fault! A lot of people buy these e-books plainly for “Hope”, the hope for a better future, but aren’t disciplined enough to follow through and put in the hard hours and brain power to see it succeed. So now where are we? Bearing in mind that the path is already set, we need to find out the level of determination that is required for you to actually follow through with these money making steps. If you are determined to make a success of the internet, these e-books will be absolutely INVALUABLE in their ability to show you the way to the Money. Just make sure you have enough disciplinary fortitude to follow through and you will see a very bright end. I have looked through a few e-books, some were worth their weight in gold and some were just rehashed ideas from forums such as http://www.webmasterworld.com. I have identified two invaluable e-books that would bring the true entrepreneur the his/her successful ends providing of course that he/she follows through with the e-books and implements all that is suggested methodsPlease have a look at what I deem to be the best books on the internet in terms of guiding the internet entrepreneur to success at http://www.richjerkscams.com

Tech teen makes cents with tractors

Tech Teen Makes “Cents” With TractorsThe first time one of Jenna Greckel’s clients told her to put her father on the phone, she convinced him to change his mind and sold him a $6,000 tractor. Jenna, 18, has learned a lot about bridging age and information gaps since she was the first 4-Her in her Nebraska county to complete the 4-H Business Sense program. At age 12, she took what she’d learned about communication skills, advertising, bookkeeping and creating business plans and started a pet-sitting business. Within a year Jenna had started a larger enterprise that combined her rural heritage with modern-day technology. Selling antique tractors and equipment over the Internet is more profitable than caring for pets, but it also produces more challenges. “I had to https://privatebin.net/?972baa5f831075b4#G173xBBGYiVqCuTsscoSAjzowm2VQYVWoAuoMJsANJgr put together and present my business plan to the bank manager in order to get a master note to fund my business,” the 4-H member said. “As a freshman in high school, it was scary having a payment due on a loan worth thousands of dollars!” To make sure her venture succeeded, Jenna focused on the business essentials of buying and selling a product, planning for overhead cost, and determining profit margins. As her sales and reputation grew, she also began performing appraisals and selling items on consignment. Jenna often works with lifelong farmers who aren’t familiar with modern business technologies. “They teach me about the tractors, and I help them get a higher sale price by using the Internet,” she said.Negotiating with people of different ages and personalities from all over the country was a daunting experience at first, but 4-H helped Jenna overcome her shyness. “Now I’m able to conduct business transactions with confidence,” she said. Jenna also developed decision-making and financial management skills that she teaches to other youth as president of the 4-H Jr. Leaders group and counselor at an entrepreneurship camp. She enjoys helping younger and older generations learn how to use technology for business, and she knows that she’s often helping people capture a part of their childhood. “People frequently buy antique tractors as a way of maintaining a connection with their past,” she said, “and I love helping them relive fond memories of their youth.”
